Explore the sea life up close!
Your next adventure awaits. You can see a variety of tropical fish and marine life up close with a snorkeling or diving trip. The waters around St. Andrews State Park and Shell Island are amazingly pristine. Along with the marine life, sand dollars, moon snails, conch shells, pin shells, periwinkles, whelk and olive shells are just a few of the indigenous seashells you might find.
Many local charters offer snorkeling tours with gear provided. They’ll take you on a leisurely trip to Shell Island, an uninhabited barrier island, where marine life flourishes and is a shell-hunters paradise. You can also rent gear at St. Andrews State Park and explore the calm waters sheltered behind the jetties.
