Krewe of St. Andrews Announces 28th Annual Mardi Gras in Panama City

Panama City, FL – January 17, 2025 – The Krewe of St. Andrews is thrilled to announce the 28th Annual St. Andrews Mardi Gras, set to take place from Friday, February 21, 2025, through Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Historic St. Andrews, Panama City, Florida. As the official Mardi Gras of Panama City, this beloved celebration has become the largest and longest-running Mardi Gras event in Bay County, attracting over 50,000 attendees annually.

“The Krewe of St. Andrews pours its heart and soul into this festival every year,” said Lee Head, a member of the Krewe of St. Andrews. “It’s our passion to bring this incredible celebration to life, sharing the joy, culture, and spirit of Mardi Gras with our community and visitors alike. To see so many people smiling and having fun in Historic St. Andrews is the ultimate reward for our efforts.”

Mardi Gras Schedule:

Friday, February 21, 2025: The festivities kick off with the Kids Parade along Beck Avenue, followed by the Mask Parade. Families can enjoy food, music, and fun activities throughout the evening.

    • Kids Parade: 4:30 PM
    • Mask Parade: 6:00 PM
    • Festival Hours: 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM

 

Saturday, February 22, 2025: The highlight of the weekend, the Main Parade, features over 14 Krewes and more than 30 floats. Crowds will enjoy music, dancing, and the lively tradition of bead and doubloon throws.

    • Main Parade: 2:00 PM
    • Festival Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

 

Sunday, February 23, 2025: The festival concludes with the charming Pet Parade, showcasing pets dressed in festive Mardi Gras attire.

    • Pet Parade: 2:30 PM (Registration at 1:00 PM at Oaks by the Bay Park)
    • Festival Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

 

“This is the biggest and longest-running Mardi Gras celebration in Bay County, and it truly showcases the charm and vibrancy of Historic St. Andrews,” said Jennifer Vigil, President & CEO of Destination Panama City. “Attracting over 40,000 people, it’s a tremendous opportunity for visitors to experience the wonderful food, music, and local businesses in our area while celebrating Mardi Gras traditions.”

This year’s theme, “Once Upon A Dream Mardi Gras,” will be led by King Jon and Queen Judy Biddle, presiding over the royal revelries throughout the weekend.

To keep the celebration going, the Krewe of St. Andrews has joined forces with 423 Productions to present the Salty St. Andrews Music Festival, a ticketed event set against the stunning backdrop of the St. Andrews Marina!
