PANAMA CITY — The red glow outlining the giant triangular charcoal briquette on the corner lot of Harrison and 13th Street is about as neat as it gets at Jerry’s Burger Company. Messiness — juicy beef patties, golden buttery buns, gooey cheese sauces, savory seasonings — is the main thing on the menu. The restaurant’s co-owner, Jerry Pipkins, said it’s all a part of delivering a burger experience like none other.

Songwriters Taking on Downtown Stages for 2nd Annual Festival

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — Songwriters from across the United States will come to Panama City to celebrate their love for music alongside the community in the Panama City Songwriter’s Festival. Panama City Hosts Halloween on Harrison Event

The City of Panama City Hosts First-Ever Afro Market

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB)– In the Glenwood area on Saturday afternoon, the city of Panama City and Minority P.C. teamed up to host the city’s first-ever Afro market. The event was held on the corner of 14th MLK Boulevard, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The event was aimed at giving black business owners the platform to sell their handmade goods.

Trunk-or-Treat & Local Businesses Taking Over Harrison for Halloween

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) — Harrison Avenue will transform into a Halloween Hangout for October 31, as part of the City of Panama City and Downtown Improvement Board’s Halloween on Harrison event. The event will shut down Harrison from 6th Street to Oak Avenue, from 4-6 p.m., for a trunk-or-treat and other family-friendly events, including pumpkin painting, obstacle course, haunted house and live music.

Panama City Welcomes New Skate Spot

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB)–Up until 2.5 years ago, skateboarding was illegal in Downtown Panama City. Now, skaters have a brand new skate spot. The new spot is 4,400 square feet and it’s located on the corner of Jenks Avenue and West 6th Street. It offers a quarter pipe and multiple banks that will allow riders to move around the park without pushing. There’s also stairs and rails.

Downtown Panama City is Coming Back to Life with Art Murals

(WMBB) — The Bay Arts Alliance was looking forward to having an arts festival this past March, but when COVID-19 took precedence, they starting asking local artists for their help elsewhere. But they have found a way to make the downtown area come back to life. Before Hurricane Michael, downtown Panama City was known as the arts district.

Uncle Ernie’s Is Open For Business After a Two Year Closure

ST. ANDREWS Fla. (WMBB) — Uncle Ernie’s Bayfront Grill has been closed for two years after being destroyed by Hurricane Michael, but today is a good day as the restaurant held their grand re-opening exactly two years after the storm. Loyal customers from near and far packed into the restaurant to enjoy some of their favorite dishes and beautiful views.
