Minority PC is letting freedom ring in celebration of Juneteenth with a series of events for the whole family. Juneteenth, which officially became a federal holiday last year, is celebrated on June 19. It marks the day when federal troops arrived in Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed.
