Destination Panama City Announces Two New Board Members
Panama City, FL, July 12, 2018 – Destination Panama City, the official marketing organization for the City of Panama City, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. These new board members have been appointed following an expansion of the board, to include one large collector and one small collector. Joining the Panama City Community Development Corporation Board of Directors are Nirav Banker and Jennine Brown.
Nirav Banker, director of operations at the Rodeway Inn Panama City, has worked in the hospitality business for over 27 years. Born in Panama City, Nirav was raised around his parents’ mom-and-pop motel near Tyndall. Nirav attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL to pursue a degree in hospitality management. Nirav says his goal is to help Panama City continue to grow for the future in any which way possible.
Jennine Brown, general manager at Holiday Inn Panama City, serves as a member of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, Society of Government Meeting Professionals, Florida Society of Association Executives and Northside Rotary Club. Jennine has been leading the Holiday Inn team for nearly four years and has called Panama City home for the last 29 years.
“The original board composition was exclusively elected officials; however, it has always been the intent to expand the board and embrace the expertise and knowledge of lodging and tourism partners,” says Jennifer Vigil, Destination Panama City President and CEO. “The expansion ensures we have a well-rounded board with balanced priorities.”
