Panama City, FL: November 1, 2025 — Panama City, Florida will mark the holiday season with a series of events that highlight the city’s waterfront setting, historic neighborhoods, and strong community traditions. From festive light displays to neighborhood celebrations, December offers residents and visitors multiple ways to experience the season in a coastal setting.
The centerpiece of the season is the 39th Annual Boat Parade of Lights on Friday, December 13, 2025. This long-standing tradition features a fleet of illuminated vessels traveling from the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club to the Hathaway Bridge, creating a striking display across St. Andrews Bay. The Panama City Marina in Downtown serves as the main viewing area, where guests can enjoy a Christmas village with photos with Santa, local vendors, free holiday giveaways, and family activities. Additional viewing opportunities are available at the St. Andrews Marina, Uncle Ernie’s, Papa Joe’s Bayside, and Sun Harbor Marina, each offering food, beverages, and a festive environment.
The Jingle Bell Express returns for another year of free, festive transportation between Downtown Panama City and Historic St. Andrews. The route connects guests to both neighborhoods’ holiday happenings, from lighted parks and waterfront views to shopping, dining, and live entertainment. Adding to the fun, Christmas carolers on board keep the ride lively and filled with cheer.
Seasonal programming continues throughout December. Downtown Panama City will host its annual Christmas tree lighting at the Center for the Arts, which features a choreographed light display set to music. The event is complemented by holiday-themed gallery exhibits and art activities for all ages.
In Historic St. Andrews, Oaks by the Bay Park will feature lighted oak trees, decorated walkways, and waterfront views, providing an inviting location for evening strolls and photography.
Together, these events contribute to a month-long celebration that combines Panama City’s maritime heritage, cultural attractions, and community spirit.
