Destination Panama City Launches Vacation Rental Self-Registration Opportunity

Panama City, FL: May 14, 2026 — Destination Panama City is expanding opportunities for local vacation rental owners by introducing a new self-registration process for short-term rental properties on DestinationPanamaCity.com. The initiative is designed to help visitors discover additional lodging options while supporting transparency and compliance within the destination’s tourism industry.

Vacation rental owners can now submit their properties directly through the Destination Panama City website for consideration in the organization’s lodging listings. Property owners can participate by visiting https://destinationpanamacity.com/accommodations/ and selecting the “Submit Your Place” button to begin the registration process.

Once a submission is received, Destination Panama City staff will contact the property owner to request a valid Bay County Tax Compliance Certificate. Providing this certificate confirms that the property is properly registered with the Bay County Clerk of Court and actively remitting required Tourist Development Taxes. The process helps ensure that participating properties meet local compliance standards while increasing visibility for legitimate vacation rental operators.

By expanding lodging listings to include verified short-term rentals, Destination Panama City aims to provide travelers with a broader range of accommodations while continuing to support responsible tourism growth throughout the community.

The new self-registration opportunity also creates additional exposure for property owners by connecting them directly with visitors researching accommodations in Panama City’s waterfront neighborhoods and surrounding areas.

Vacation rental owners interested in participating can learn more and submit their property information at DestinationPanamaCity.com.
