More Prost for Panama City! Oktoberfest Weekend Expands into Downtown and St. Andrews

PANAMA CITY, FL – September 15, 2026 – Grab a pretzel and prepare to polka during Panama City’s 38th Annual Oktoberfest, a two-day celebration of Bavarian culture, fall flavors, and community fun presented by Destination Panama City and the City of Panama City.

Kick off the weekend with the Downtown & St. Andrews Volksmarch on Friday, September 25 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Saturday, September 26 from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Sip, savor and stroll your way through participating pubs and eateries in both historic neighborhoods while enjoying craft beer, traditional German fare and special Oktoberfest offerings. Pick up an event passport, collect stamps along the way and turn in your completed passport at the Destination Panama City booth on Saturday at the Downtown Oktoberfest celebration for a chance to win an Oktoberfest prize basket.

On Saturday, don your lederhosen and dirndls and continue the celebration with the entire family as Harrison Avenue turns into a Bavarian street festival. Savor authentic German dishes and fair favorites as you browse handicrafts, goods, and gifts from local artisans. Head to the Main Stage on the lawn at Panama City Center for the Arts (19 E. 4th Street) for music and dancing with The PolkaMeisters plus entertainment for all ages including the kids’ pretzel toss, the stein-hoisting competition, and costume contests.

Oktoberfest at Downtown Panama City is held annually on the last weekend of September. The date reflects the custom in Munich, where the celebration begins in mid-September and ends the first Sunday in October, taking advantage of the longer days and mild evenings of early fall.
