Panama City Awarded Grant to Support Post-Hurricane Campaign

Panama City, FL – January 31, 2019 – Destination Panama City, the official marketing organization for the City of Panama City, has been awarded a $250,000 grant by Visit Florida. This grant was awarded to assist in the Postcards from Panama City campaign. The campaign, launched in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, will send updates to the city’s faithful visitors as a reminder of the picturesque community and alert them when the city is ready to welcome them back.

“Tourism is a critical part of our city’s economy,” says Jennifer Vigil, Destination Panama City president and CEO. “We launched the Postcards from Panama City campaign to keep our special city in the minds and hearts of those who miss us, and to help us boost tourism as soon as we are ready for visitors.”
