Dust off your lederhosen and celebrate the 37th Annual Oktoberfest in Panama City! That’s right, no plane ticket to Germany required because you can join us in Historic Downtown for a weekend of fun Oktoberfest festivities and traditions. Beer and brats, anyone? As if the Oktoberfest Festival isn’t already exciting enough, Destination Panama City will be hosting the 2nd Annual Downtown Panama City Volksmarch to kick off the weekend! Both events are free and family-friendly.

When is Oktoberfest?

We know what you’re thinking, but keep guessing. Oktoberfest does not start in October.

Traditionally, Oktoberfest begins in September and is celebrated for a few weeks before ending on the first Sunday of October.

The important dates for you to know is when is Oktoberfest in Panama City? While we’re sad to say that it won’t be a multi-week long festival like those being celebrated in Germany, we are excited to announce our weekend of festivities! Oktoberfest in Panama City will kick off on Friday, September 26 with the Downtown Panama City Volksmarch and end on Saturday, September 27 with a family-friendly Oktoberfest Festival.

Downtown Panama City Volksmarch Pub Crawl

Toast, savor, and explore at the Downtown Panama City Volksmarch where locals and visitors can enjoy a lively Oktoberfest-inspired stroll through charming pubs and eateries featuring craft beers and traditional German fare. Admission is free, with food and drinks available for purchase at participating venues.

Grab an event passport and collect stamps at each stop for a chance to win an exclusive Oktoberfest prize basket. Just drop off your completed passport at the Destination Panama City booth during Oktoberfest on Saturday to be entered for the drawing.

Family Friendly Festival in Historic Downtown Panama City

Celebrate German tradition at Oktoberfest at Downtown Panama City, a free, family-friendly event featuring live music, festive competitions, authentic German cuisine and beer, and fun for all ages.

Enjoy activities like the Kids Pretzel Toss, Stein Hoisting, and a traditional costume contest, all set on the lawn of the Panama City Center for the Arts. Browse eclectic vendors offering crafts, jewelry, and boutique finds throughout the festival grounds along Harrison Avenue while soaking in the joyful spirit of this beloved community celebration. Prost to a day of music, food, family fun, and lasting memories!
