Celebrate Oktoberfest in Panama City

Dust off your lederhosen and celebrate the 35th Annual Oktoberfest in Panama City! That’s right, no plane ticket to Germany required because you can join us in Historic Downtown for a weekend of fun Oktoberfest festivities and traditions. Beer and brats, anyone? As if the Oktoberfest Festival isn’t already exciting enough, Destination Panama City will be hosting the 3rd Annual Craft Beer Tasting to kick off the weekend! While the Historic Downtown Festival is free and family-friendly, the Craft Beer Tasting requires tickets – and they’re going to sell quick, so make sure you purchase yours early!

When is Oktoberfest?

We know what you’re thinking, but keep guessing. Oktoberfest does not start in October.

Traditionally, Oktoberfest begins in September and is celebrated for a few weeks before ending on the first Sunday of October.

The important dates for you to know is when is Oktoberfest in Panama City? While we’re sad to say that it won’t be a multi-week long festival like those being celebrated in Germany, we are excited to announce our weekend of festivities! Oktoberfest in Panama City will kick off on Friday, September 29 with the Craft Beer Tasting and end on Saturday, September 30 with a family-friendly Oktoberfest Festival.

Annual Craft Beer Tasting

Raise a glass to Destination Panama City’s 3rd Annual Oktoberfest Craft Beer Tasting, kicking off the 35th Annual Panama City Oktoberfest weekend!

Live music by BB and Polkahaus will fill the air on the #LovePC lawn from 6 – 9pm while guests enjoy unlimited access to craft beers, ciders, and meads outside the Destination Panama City Visitor’s Center. Pair your favorites with a tasty meal from on-site local food trucks (food not included in ticket price). Our portfolio will feature one-off, rare, seasonal craft beer not found anywhere else in the area.

All attendees over 21 years of age must provide a valid I.D. (Under 21 years of age MUST have “Under 21 Ticket” and be accompanied by 21+)

Family Friendly Festival in Historic Downtown Panama City

This Oktoberfest Festival is a free, family-friendly event offering a fun-filled day for everyone!

Live music will be playing all day long, and authentic German cuisine and a variety of food vendors will line alongside Historic Downtown businesses offering shopping, dining, and entertainment. Children will be able to enjoy face painting and other fun activities. Feeling competitive? Test your strength and creativity and take home the prize with the annual Stein Hoisting Competition, Pass the Pumpkin for kids, and Best Costume Contest. And of course, there will be craft and seasonal beer. Prost!
